I've been riding for almost 40 years and dealt with stinky, sweaty, disgusting helmets for 38 of those years. That's 38 years too many!
A couple of years ago I started making a spray to kill bacteria and keep my helmet fresh smelling. I was using it at the barn one day and a friend stopped mid-sentence and said "Wait! What are you doing? I feel like I should know about this life hack!" After I explained what I was doing she encouraged me to start selling the spray to other riders. And in that moment, Your Helmet Spray was born!
Over the years I have tried various scents out on friends and family members (Thank you!). Some scents were too much, some were unpleasant, some like Goldillocks, were just right. I have researched how alcohol kills germs and what percentages are necessary for optimal effectiveness. (Your Helmet Spray contains optimal percentages). I have also ordered and tested an almost obscene number of spray bottles looking for ones of high quality that don't leak and will stand up to life around horses.
Lastly, I wanted this to be a fun company. Riding horses is fun. Being at the barn with your friends is fun. Helmet sprays are fun too!
